In the past we have provided this small group of people with money to buy sewing machines and materials to set up a sewing project so that they can make items to sell and finance their project. They aim to use the profit to improve their premises and help and support a number of children and their parents. In small ways we continue to support this project. In 2007/8 we gave £350 to finance a water fountain and filter for their school as some children get sickness and diarrhoea from drinking tap water. A specific gift of £100 was given to Pedraviva for this project. It was used to start making rugs and to buy a small hot stove to keep the food warm as they are planning to open a permanent canteen at the church.
